Volunteers are the heartbeat of our organization.
If you are looking for a rewarding way to support the Friends, join us! Become a volunteer.
You’ll have fun while meeting like-minded people. Hanging out around books is pretty amazing, too.
There are many ways to become involved.
Traditional volunteer opportunities include:
- Sort, price and shelve books at the Used Book Store
- Curate a collection/section at the Used Book Store
- Cashier at the Friends’ Shop
- Send out membership mailings
- Assist with book sales
- Help at special events
- Lend us your muscle with set-up and tear-down for sales
Other ways to help include, but are not limited to:
- Lend us your specialized skills: graphic design, web development, market research etc.
- Distribute event signage in your neighborhood
- Assist in building beautification projects
- Craft: make bookmarks, signage, book-art, etc.
- Share our posts on social media: Every click, like, and share helps us get our message in front of more people
- Write guest blogs, reviews and promotional pieces
